Sebi slaps Rs 40 lakh fine on Ankur Drugs for non-disclosures
Umesh Gupta 2700 days ago My Dear SEBI, As rightly mentioned that the damage caused by the action of promoters to the investors can not be quantified. In fact due to lack of this very crucial information affected the decision of the investor enormously and the promoters eventually benefited. Secondly the penalty should instead be imposed on the promoters and the responsible compliance officer of the company who actually are personally responsible to cause the loss to investors by violating the norms the regulator. This type of delayed and ineffective penal actions of the regulator are not enough to induce discipline in the promoters and in fact affecting the confidence of investors. I strongly protest and submit that the Regulators may like to review the same and impose penalties on the responsible persons and not on the company which again will penalize the investor only. Due to their lapse , may be intentional, the investors are ruined as they keep holding the shares . Had they disclosed the information at the right time investors would have taken prudent desicion instead on staying invested. regards, Umesh Gupta
