NSEL scam: Investors may get back some dues
Investors are set to get back some of their dues for the first time in Rs 5,6000000000 NSEL scam , according to an ETNow report quoting sources.The competent authority has asked brokers to give an undertaking to start distribution, the report stated.It's learnt that around Rs 350000000 have been marked to the competent authority’s account to be first distributed equitably among investors and Rs 600000000 is headed for the escrow account to be disbursed only after high court nod.Regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India is expected to give a final hearing to top brokers in the NSEL probe soon. “Sebi is also probing 300 other brokers who traded on the now-defunct NSEL spot exchange,” ETNow reported.Brokerages, including MOSL, Anand Rathi, IIFL and Geojit Comtrade, are under the Sebi lens, the report said.
