SEBI gives exit order to CSE

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has given the exit order to Coimbatore Stock Exchange (CSE) on April 3. Members The Coimbatore Stock Exchange was incorporated in 1991 and it had 193 founding members. Now, it has 133 members and trading activities stopped completely in 2000. The Coimbatore Stock Exchange made a request in 2009 to the SEBI for its exit as stock exchange. Members of the exchange passed a resolution in this regard at an extraordinary meeting held on July 3, 2009 and 87 members had responded in favour of the resolution and one member had raised objection to it. The SEBI had examined the request of the Coimbatore exchange in terms of the 2012 Exit Circular. Following the exit order, a board meeting of the exchange will be held here on Friday.
