SAT asks SEBI to clarify

The Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) on Thursday directed the market regulator SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) to clarify whether the issue of global depository receipts (GDRs) amounted to public issue of shares and whether GDRs be considered as non-promoter holdings.
